What's in a name?
The winery's name, MotherLode Cellars, comes from an actual mine located near the Cook Family Ranch. The mine operated from 1907 to 1939, producing over 8,000 ounces of gold and 4 million pounds of copper. Although the mine no longer exists, its history remains. MotherLode Cellars carries on the legacy of the mine through its name and is dedicated to the production of fine wines that we hope you enjoy with spirited conversation, good friends and a bit of reminiscence.
